The exclusive technical facilities, which include a pilot plant room and specialist research laboratories, are of the highest standard and allow for experimental production of chemical compounds on a small scale.

    LPT maintains a unique philosophy of combining teaching and research with experimental production. Research is combined with experimental production facilitating the back coupling of basic and applied research. All knowledge that is acquired through investigations and production is subsequently passed on to students through teaching. The overall result of such a philosophy is an ever-increasing quality in products and services as well as maintaining LPT's financial independence.
